With sore muscles aplenty, a few more days to prepare & hurricanes looming, the countdown is on for the Dukes Reach the Beach relay squad. Notched a 13 miler on Saturday which is the last long run before the race. The Dukes start at 1:20pm this coming Friday from the base of Cannon Mountain in NH and we’re hoping that Ike’s projected path into the gulf will leave us largely dry for the overnight run. But all eyes are on the storm’s progress and how it will impact NH.

Either way it’s going to be an epic affair. Shit – the Dukes are like the postman….come rain, sleet or snow – we’ll get ‘er done. Stay tuned for more countdown info and live blogging of what’s bound to be an awesome [read: hilarious] effort.
